The achievements of our former learners in the fields of Business and Commerce, Medicine and Science, Law, Engineering and Construction, Academics and Teaching, all levels of government and politics, among others, stand out prominently locally, nationally and internationally. There are learners who achieved well at school academically, in sports and Olympiads and whose names appear in the newspapers, Awards’ Programmes and Honours’ board but there also many more whose names are unrecorded, yet who have also have left their mark on the School and have contributed to the Raisethorpe legacy. There is some special quality that links all former learners of Raisethorpe Secondary School which is rooted in our School Motto ” Per Adua Ad Solem’- it is only through hard work motivated by the highest values that one could hope to reach one’s goal. We pay tribute to all learners of Raisethorpe Secondary(past and present), who have proudly kept the flame of Raisethorpe Secondary burning brightly in the community.
Throughout the five decades of its existence, Raisethorpe Secondary School has always been characterized by its potential to grow and develop and evolve. Its place as one of the foremost and most respected schools in the province is due in no small measure to its ability, throughout its history, to adapt to change, to be creative and innovative in its response to the challenges and obstacles that it has encountered, to its commitment to creating and maintaining a culture of excellence, and to the dedication of all stakeholders.
